The Reanimation Library is housed in the Proteus Gowanus complex, which is located at 543 Union Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Subway Directions
R train to Union Street/4th Avenue
Walk two long blocks on Union Street (towards the Gowanus Canal) to Nevins Street. 543 Union Street is the large red brick building on the right. Enter the library through Proteus Gowanus through the large black gates on Nevins Street.
F or G train to Carroll Street
Exit the back of the train onto President and Smith Street, and walk one block to Union Street. Turn right, walk two long blocks on Union (towards the Gowanus Canal) and cross the Union Street bridge. The library is housed in the first large red brick building on the left at the corner of Nevins.
Driving/Biking from Manhattan
Take the Brooklyn Bridge. At end of the bridge, turn right onto Tillary Street, go one block, turn left onto Cadman Plaza, which turns into Court Street. Go approximately 10 blocks on Court Street to Union Street. Turn left on Union, go down hill two long blocks and go over the Union Street bridge. The library is housed in the first large red brick building on left at the corner of Nevins.
Please be advised that the Reanimation Library is a non-circulating collection
If you find information that you want to take with you, the library provides two scanners and a copier for patron use. The scanners are an Epson Perfection 4490 Photo and an Epson Perfection 3170 Photo. The library has one scanning station, but patrons are encouraged to bring their own laptops whenever possible. It is advisable to download the scanner drivers before your visit. These can be found here: 4490 | 3170. The scanning station is currently not connected to the Internet, so it is advisable to bring a flash drive. Digital cameras are also recommended.
