Center City Branch was assembled from books found in thrift stores and used bookstores across Philadelphia as well as 25 titles borrowed from the Free Library of Philadelphia. A photocopier, scanner, and work table were provided to for general use. Library-generated artworks by Kim Beck, Rachel Bers, Charles Goldman, Steve Griffin, Marget Long, Anna Stein, and Chris Warrington were exhibited alongside the books.
